Frequently asked questions

Do I need to be a student or a graduate to get an internship?

No. Internships are good for anyone looking to upskill or reskill into the workforce, get back into their field, or try a new field. That includes students, graduates, parents and seniors returning to work, and career changers.

Is Find My Intern free for candidates?

Yes. Creating a profile and applying for internships is free.

How long does it take for my account to be approved?

New accounts are reviewed by our team. Please allow 1 week to be approved onto the platform. We will email you once you are approved.

What do I need to sign up?

Your name, email, phone number and city. Then you can drop in your resume and we will fill in most of your profile for you.

Are internships paid?

It depends on the arrangement. Some are paid and some are unpaid placements that are part of a course. The Fair Work Ombudsman has guidance at fairwork.gov.au. Read our guide on paid and unpaid internships in Australia for more.

Can I get help with my resume or interviews?

Yes. Our partner Reesby offers Find My Intern members a discount on professional resume writing, interview training and career coaching.

How do employers post an internship?

Create an employer account, then post your internship. Our team can also help you find and shortlist candidates.
